Introducing 12Tol, a café that makes rice desserts by milling Kawaji rice, a specialty variety from Goyang City. Have you heard the story of the 12 rice grains discovered during the development of Goyang’s new city? Inspired by the story that these 12 grains were the earliest cultivated rice grains on the Korean Peninsula, the brand name “12Tol” was born.🌾

The package created for the Kawaji rice pound cake was designed to capture the sense of mystery and joy felt upon discovering rice grains during the development of a new city. To convey the vivid energy and excitement of orange when opening the pure white box lid, the exterior of the dessert package was kept white while the interior used a spot color to express a striking orange tone.

In particular, the key point was adding epoxy finishing to the 12 rice grains rolling across the outside of the box to strengthen the brand symbolism and make it immediately recognizable as a rice dessert. The box exterior was left unprinted and uncoated, preserving the texture of the white paper so the sparkling 12 rice grains stand out even more.
