Also, unlike the past, when ordering something online meant waiting at least seven days, it has recently become common for orders placed today to arrive at your doorstep the next morning.

But even the parcel delivery industry pauses for the holidays. Since parcel collection is restricted starting one or two days before the holiday period at major delivery companies, it seems to be a necessary measure to ensure delivery workers can rest during the holiday.
