Hello, this is Packative.

Today, we’d like to share a production review of the sleeve box package for Daejeon Museum of Art (DMA), created with Packative.

Daejeon Museum of Art (DMA): Brand Introduction

If you visit Daejeon, the city of science, the Daejeon Museum of Art is well worth a stop. It works to diagnose and envision the present and future of local art in Daejeon as well as Korean contemporary art, while also leading the way in media and digital art by incorporating the unique character of Daejeon, the city of science.

Since 2000, the Daejeon Museum of Art has selected science-related themes based on the city’s identity as a science hub and has hosted an international-scale biennale by leveraging Daejeon’s science and technology as well as its cultural and artistic infrastructure.

Since October 25 last month, the spin-off exhibition of the Daejeon Science & Art Biennale, Do You Not Know That You Are Soon to Be God?, has been on view.

As a spin-off version that begins a journey to revisit the past 20-plus years of science art in Daejeon and imagine a new future, the exhibition features around 80 works by 23 artists from 7 countries and will run until February 2, 2025. If you’re planning a trip to Daejeon, be sure to take note.

At Packative, sleeve boxes are referred to as “slide boxes.” In fact, there are many different terms used to describe sleeve boxes. Y-style box, S-style box, assembled box, slide box, sleeve box, matchbox box, and more — because it’s a box that opens and closes by sliding the outer sleeve and inner box, there are many names for it!

Because opening the box by sliding it out builds anticipation about what product might be inside, this type is often made for accessories, small items, and gift packaging.
