Over the past few years, many brands have been running pop-up stores as part of their marketing strategy. Because pop-up stores give brands a chance to meet customers face-to-face offline, they’re an appealing way to deliver hands-on experiences that online shopping or regular retail stores can’t offer. Through hince’s pop-up store themed around the fantasy forest of ‘🌳 Dewy Ball Forest,’ we were able to take a look at how today’s brands operate their pop-up stores.🎈

The first collection of 2025, Dewy Ball, was soft-launched exclusively at the pop-up store. Pop-up stores offer an opportunity to test new markets and directly analyze customer reactions by unveiling limited-edition products or new launches.

Using the round shape of Dewy Ball, customers who purchase Dewy Ball receive a keyring pouch that can be used like a keyring, along with stickers to decorate the pouch. With personalization being such a trend these days, it’s the kind of thing that’s likely to naturally draw attention on social media. Rather than stopping at a simple giveaway, they also boosted viral potential by running an event where customers who decorated their Dewy Ball and pouch during the pop-up period and shared it on Instagram could enter a drawing to win a Dewy Ball gift kit.

If customers complete all three steps of the pop-up store, they can join a 100%-win lucky draw event. Winners receive a special gift set that includes six best-selling Dewy Ball colors and a lip brush. Just one year after launch, WITTY SUN:DAY held its first pop-up store at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo. At WITTY SUN:DAY’s WIMarket pop-up zone, the packaging that made the brand’s signature colorfulness feel even more special was especially impressive.
